Len’s D Day Challenge

Normandy Veteran and Care for Veterans’ resident, Len Gibbon, 96, has decided to recreate his historic journey across the Channel by cycling the distance from Portsmouth to Gold Beach on a static bike in aid of the charity.

He aims to complete the 104-mile distance by 6th June, which will mark the 76th anniversary of the first Normandy landings.

Show Len your support by making a donation on his JustGiving page.

Len’s challenge comes at a time when we need it most. Due to the current situation, many of the events and initiatives that we had organised to raise vital funds have been postponed or cancelled, so Len hopes to raise as much as he can to support the charity that cares for him.

If you’re inspired by Len’s story, and would like to take on your own challenge for Care for Veterans, see some of the ways you can support us from home, or give us a call on 01903 218444 – we would love to hear from you!
