Staying connected socially is so important during lockdown, keeping in touch with friends and family can be a great way to fundraise. Take a look at our ideas…
How: You decide
With events cancelled or postponed, we have lost a vital source of income. With running costs still at £1.9 million a year we are in desperate need of support from people like you.
Fundraising for Care for Veterans doesn’t need to be a daunting thought. Here are some easy ways that you can help, ensuring that the veterans in our care continue to get the support they need and deserve.
- Staying in touch is more important than ever, why not organise a virtual chat with some friends or family and donate the cost of your drink to Care for Veterans.
- What about a night in with a movie marathon? Sign up to our virtual event “Virtual-ly Anything”, organise for six friends to all donate £10 (the cost of a DVD), set up a video call so you can all watch it together and enjoy!
- Why don’t you and your friends organise a virtual scavenger hunt? Everyone donates £4 to play and the winner receives half of the winnings with the other half going to Care for Veterans. One person reads out what the others must find (all normal household items, toothbrush etc.). The first person back to their screen wins that round. The winner would receive a Care for Veterans Certificate and ultimate bragging rights. (Please get in touch for the Care for Veterans Scavenger Hunt object and score sheet).
However you decide to support us, please know that your help will go a long way in ensuring that the veterans in our care continue to receive the support they need.
