What is the Care for Veterans Lottery?

The Care for Veterans Weekly Lottery is a fantastic way to support our remarkable veterans, with the added incentive of a potential cash prize for you! It’s just £1 a week to play, and you’ll not only be in with a chance of winning up to £25,000 every Saturday, you’ll be helping us to continue to provide the first-class care that we are so proud of here at Care for Veterans.

How does it work?

It’s very simple to play. For just £1 a week, you’ll be entered into a draw to win up to £25,000. When you’ve filled in your details on our website (or we can send you a postal form if you prefer), a unique 6-digit lottery number will be sent to you by our lottery partner, Unity. Every Saturday, you’ll be entered into a draw and the winning numbers will be picked at random. You can buy as many chances to win a great cash prize as you want, for £1 each. Just match 3, 4, 5 or all 6 digits of the winning numbers in the right order to win:

3 correct numbers in the right order = £5

4 correct numbers in the right order =£25

5 correct numbers in the right order = £1,000

6 correct numbers in the right order = £25,000

What difference will my £1-a-week lottery entry make to Care for Veterans?

When you sign up to play our lottery, a minimum of 50p of every £1 entry will go directly towards the multi-disciplinary care we provide for disabled ex-Servicemen and women. If 1,000 people joined our lottery for just £1 a week, it would give us an additional income of at least £26,000 a year. That money will pay for the speech and language therapy, physiotherapy sessions and social activities that enable our residents to be as independent and active as possible.

If Care for Veterans gets a minimum of 50p per lottery entry, what happens to the remainder?

The remaining money is spent on the prize fund and administration costs.

Who runs the Care for Veterans lottery?

The Care for Veterans lottery is run on our behalf by our lottery partner, Unity. Unity is administered by Sterling Management Centre Ltd, a registered External Lottery Manager certified by the Gambling Commission. Sterling has been providing specialist lottery services to charities for over 30 years, helping them to generate in excess of £35 million every year and is experienced in every aspect of lottery fundraising. How will I find out if I have won a prize?

Your prize will automatically be sent to you by post following the draw. Rules can be checked by visiting the Unity Lottery Website. To check your numbers, head to the Results Page and if successful, call the Unity Winners’ Hotline on 0870 055 2291.
