We are seeking a highly organized and motivated individual to join our team as the Volunteer Coordinator. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating all aspects of our volunteer program. The Volunteer Coordinator will play a crucial role in recruiting, training, and supervising volunteers to ensure the successful implementation of our programs and services.
Responsibilities:
– Develop and implement strategies to recruit and retain volunteers
– Coordinate volunteer assignments and schedules
– Provide training and orientation to new volunteers
– Supervise and support volunteers in their roles
– Collaborate with staff to identify volunteer needs and opportunities
– Develop and maintain relationships with community partners to expand volunteer resources
– Plan and execute volunteer recognition events
– Monitor volunteer performance and provide feedback as needed
– Maintain accurate records of volunteer hours and activities
Requirements:
– A good general standard of education.
– Proven experience in project management, preferably in a nonprofit or community-based organization
– Strong knowledge of volunteer management principles and best practices
– Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal with the ability to presnet to groups
– Proficient in using social media platforms for recruitment and engagement purposes
– Ability to multitask, prioritize, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
– Strong administrative skills, including record-keeping and data management
– Demonstrated ability to supervise, educate, and motivate volunteers
– Leadership skills with the ability to work collaboratively with staff, volunteers, and community partners

Care for Veterans is a Worthing-based charity, providing slow-stream rehabilitation primarily to those who have served in the armed forces or their immediate family.
Hours of work full time – 8 hours per day (day shift)
Responsibilities:
– Provide direct patient care, including administering medications, monitoring vital signs, and assisting with procedures.
– Collaborate with healthcare team members to develop and implement patient care plans.
– Educate patients and their families on health conditions, treatments, and self-care techniques.
– Document patient information accurately and thoroughly in electronic health records.
– Adhere to all nursing standards and protocols.

Care for Veterans is seeking a Trustee with a finance and/or accountancy background, preferably with an ACCA qualification (or equivalent). The successful candidate will join and in time, chair the Finance Committee.
Hours of work: Average time commitment is 12-15 hours per year
Salary: Reasonable expenses are reimbursed

Duties:
– Assisting healthcare professionals in providing patient care and support
– Performing basic medical procedures under the supervision of a nurse
– Taking vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse
– Assisting with patient hygiene, including bathing, dressing, and toileting
– Assisting with mobility and transferring patients
– Monitoring and documenting patient information and reporting any changes to the healthcare team
– Assisting with medical equipment setup and maintenance
– Providing emotional support to patients and their families
Experience:
– Previous experience in a healthcare setting is preferred but not required
– Knowledge of basic medical terminology and procedures is a plus
– Previous experience of working in a UK healthcare setting is essential
– Strong communication and interpersonal skills
– Ability to work well in a team environment
– Compassionate and caring attitude towards patients
Please note: We are unable to offer sponsorship, the post is full time (35 hrs) and we have just the one site in Worthing, West Sussex
