Clinical Workforce Officer 

The purpose of the role is to provide administrative clinical workforce management and development support to the ward staff and assist the ward managers with the clinical roster and workforce planning.

Key Responsibilities

HR

Rota’s and Staffing

  • To assist with the compilation and maintenance of the clinical roster and to assist with liaison with agencies as required, to provide cover.
  • To ensure that all clinical staff records including sickness and annual leave records are kept up to date on People HR
  • To monitor annual leave requests and update the roster accordingly
  • To audit timesheets highlighting any inconsistencies with the Head of Clinical Services/Head of HR
  • To assist Wards Managers, Nurses and Healthcare Assistant Supervisors to ensure IPR’S and Supervisions are completed and returned as required.
  • To check on a monthly basis that nursing, physio and OT ‘Pins’ and ‘Revalidations’ are all in date. Update list with new expiry dates as required.
  • To assist in the exit interview process for all clinical staff and maintain the spreadsheet in conjunction with the Head of HR

Recruitment and Selection

  • To assist, as directed by the Head of HR and Ward Managers with the clinical recruitment process.
  • To assist/participate in the clinical staff interview selection process as required

Workforce Development

  • Assist the Head of Clinical Services/Ward Managers to develop an ongoing plan to upskill all clinical staff as appropriate
  • To assist with the development of a skills matrix for all clinical staff identifying areas for development.
  • Assisting Head of Clinical services/Ward Manager in ensuring clinical teams have the right skills mix.
  • Assisting and coordinating in-house clinical skills training and identifying cost effective external training where appropriate
  • Work with HR and Training Assistant to ensure that all Mandatory training is undertaken to date flagging up any areas of concern with Head of Clinical Services.
  • To assist with ad-hoc clinical workforce development projects including but not limited to electronic rostering.

General

  • Assist with the tasking of notes at Disciplinary, Grievance, Performance Management and other such formal meetings as directed by Head of HR
  • To assist with cover for the HR department in the absence of the Head of HR or HR & training Assistant.
  • To assist the Head of Clinical Services in maintaining high standards across the wards including, but not limited to, compliance with uniform policy, health and safety etc.

Job Type: Part-time

Salary: £15,000.00 per year

Chef

We are recruiting for a Chef with a recognised Diploma in Professional Cookery to join our friendly and professional catering team

Chefs are expected to work in close partnership with the Chef Manager, the kitchen team and professional colleagues to provide nutritious, high quality meals for residents and staff within agreed costs. The Chefs support the Catering Manager to ensure the smooth running of the kitchen service and ensure adherence to food safety and health and safety legislation. Training, development and empowerment of the kitchen assistants an essential element of this position.

You will work attractive shifts of either 07:00-15:00 or 11:00-19:00 and will work two weekends in every 4.

Hours of work: 37.5 per week

Salary: £10.44/hour

Holiday: 25 days plus bank holiday entitlement

A satisfactory enhanced DBS is required

Kitchen Assistant

We are currently seeking a friendly, empathetic and customer-focused person to join our team as a Kitchen Assistant

Hours of work: 7am to 3pm and 11am to 7pm – you would expect to work 2 weekends out of every four.

Job Type: Permanent

Salary: £9.00 /hour

Healthcare Assistant (Day)

Come and join our friendly team and make a difference to the lives of our veterans.

Hours of work: Working a 35 hour week over 7-hour shifts, sometimes with the option of extra hours as and when cover is needed.

Salary: We offer £9.70 per hour, plus you will benefit from 30% enhancements and 60% enhancements on Saturdays and Sundays and 100% on Bank Holidays!

To apply, you will need to have ideally one years’ experience of working in a healthcare setting and at least one of the following qualifications:

  • The Care Certificate
  • NVQ Level 2 or NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care

Fundraising Volunteer

Our fundraising team need a variety of high value prizes for our upcoming auctions, events and raffles. Are you both thrifty and creative with a ‘can do’ attitude? If so, we want you to join our go-getting team!

Tasks:

  • Researching donor opportunities
  • Identifying and approaching potential supporters
  • Work collaboratively with the wider fundraising team

Skills, knowledge and experience:

Confident, reliable and creative. This role would suit someone outgoing, with a good understanding of sourcing fundraising opportunities.

This is a great opportunity to work closely with the fundraising team, develop key negotiation skills as well as working on the research and development of new donors and the overall success of our planned fundraising activities. This role is fully supported.

Time and Length of Commitment: Flexible
