Clinical Team

Healthcare Assistant – Day Duty

A vacancy has arisen for a full time Healthcare Assistant at Care for Veterans. Hours of work are on a rota basis: 7.00am to 3.00pm or 1.00pm to 8.30pm. Weekend and bank holiday working will be required. Candidates should ideally have NVQ level 2 or 3 in Health and Social Care. A keen interest in neurological rehabilitation of all age groups would be highly desirable. In addition to a competitive salary pay is enhanced for weekend working. NVQ pay enhancements offered after probation. Holiday is 25 days per annum plus bank holiday entitlement.

Fundraising Team

Fundraising Officer

Circa £22,500 pa

Full time 37.5 hours per week

An opportunity has arisen in the fundraising team at Care for Veterans, a charity which has cared for disabled ex-Service personnel for almost 100 years. Our award winning care includes long term residential care, rehabilitation, respite and end-of-life care to those who have served our country.

Working within a small but dedicated fundraising team, you will be responsible for taking the lead on corporate support, both local and national, as well as organising some fundraising events to raise an agreed target. This job includes a mixture of corporate and events fundraising and is very varied, working with a wide range of people.

We are looking for a bright, dynamic and energetic person, with experience in fundraising, to join us at a very exciting time as we are fast approaching our 100th anniversary year and all the opportunities for fundraising and publicity that this will entail. You must be able to demonstrate success in raising money, be a team player and have an enthusiasm for the care we provide to veterans.  You’ll be an excellent communicator, hard-working and flexible in your approach. A full clean driving licence is required.
