Trustee (Fundraising)

We are seeking a Trustee with a background in fundraising and marketing to support our work following the retirement of one of our Trustees. This is a volunteering role and is therefore unpaid. The appointment will be for four years with a standard extension of a further four years subject to reappointment.

The role primarily involves attending Board Meetings and associated committees, which include finance, remuneration, fundraising and clinical governance. The successful candidate will be expected to serve on the fundraising committee and others as the case may be. The purpose of the committees is to provide specialist strategic advice to the Board of Trustees as well as monitoring the overall performance of the Charity. These are interesting and critical roles which would suit senior qualified professionals looking to contribute in the charity sector.

CfV has an annual income of c£4m. The day to day Fundraising and Marketing activities are managed by a Head of Fundraising who works closely with the Fundraising Committee. The fundraising department supplements the increasing financial requirements arising from the growing demands for specialised clinical care.

Please note that some people are disqualified by law from acting as charity trustees and full details can be found on the Charity Commission website. Due to the work of our charity a DBS check and references will be required.

If you have empathy with the purpose of our Charity, and a legal background at a senior level, then we would welcome your application.

Job description

 

Head of Fundraising & Marketing

We are looking for an experienced Head of Fundraising & Marketing with hands-on experience across a broad range of fundraising income streams, including individual giving and major donors, trusts and foundations, corporate and events. You will have experience of managing a team of fundraisers and marketing experience in terms of promoting both fundraising initiatives and the charity as a whole.

You will also have experience of producing, maintaining and developing income and expenditure budgets to ensure that all initiatives raise the maximum possible. You will be experienced in being an advocate for a charity and used to speaking at high profile events and undertaking presentations to elicit support from individuals, corporate and community supporters. You will be enthusiastic, driven, professional and have an empathy and respect for the Armed Forces and those for whom you will be raising vital income.

Healthcare Assistant (Days)

Day Hourly Rate£9.05 per hour plus weekend enhancements

A vacancy has arisen for a full time Healthcare Assistant to join our friendly and professional day team. If you hold a Diploma/NVQ Level 2 or Level 3 in Health and Social Care/Care Certificate and have experience in delivering care we would be keen to hear from you. A Diploma/NVQ enhancement is offered after probation. A keen interest in neurological rehabilitation of all age groups would be highly desirable.

Hours: 37.5 hours per week. Weekend and bank holiday working will be required.

Shifts:  7am to 3pm or 1pm to 8.30pm

It is essential that you are passionate about your work and share our values in delivering the highest standard of person-centred care to our family of residents. We encourage and support training and development.

Bank Staff Nurse – Band 5 equivalent

We are looking to expand our bank registered nurse team and if you are able to work on a casual basis we would be keen to hear from you.

Shifts are 7 am to 3 pm; 1 pm to 8.30 pm and nights are 8pm to 8am.

Due to the nature of the post a satisfactory Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service check will be required.  This includes an adult barred list check.
