(Full time may be considered if unable to recruit to 22.5 hours.  Please email the H.R. team with your details hr@careforveterans.org.uk if you wish to be contacted should this be the case)

Salary £27,000 – £29,130 per annum (pro rata) depending on experience

Care for Veterans (formerly The Queen Alexandra Hospital Home) provides care and rehabilitation to physically disabled ex-Servicemen and women from its facility in Worthing.  We provide first-class and award-winning care to those who have served our country and specialise in caring for those with acquired brain injury and neurological conditions.  In 2019 we celebrate 100 years of caring for veterans so this is a very exciting time to be joining our charity.

We are looking for an experienced Trusts & Foundations Fundraiser to work 22.5 hours per week (and complement our other Trusts & Foundations Fundraiser working 15 hours per week) to:

  • write applications and proposals for funding from trusts, foundations and statutory bodies
  • develop relationships with Armed Forces funding bodies that support our charity
  • work on ad hoc applications for special projects, including capital projects
  • manage their own projects and time schedule as well as be part of the Fundraising Team
  • deliver against set income targets and planned activities

We are looking for someone with strong and persuasive writing skills, an ability to work on their own and collaboratively across teams with a strong work ethic to focus on making a real difference for our disabled veterans. You will have written bids for trusts or statutory bodies previously and be able to demonstrate some real success that you can apply in this role.  You will also be sympathetic to the aims of caring for ex-Servicemen and women.
