Quiz night helps to raise £1,100 for disabled veterans

On Thursday 12 October, 12 teams competed to become quiz champions at the Care for Veterans autumn quiz night, and helped to raise just over £1,100 for the charity.

Care for Veterans supporter, Chris Coopey from Carpenter Box, acted as quizmaster. He led the teams through 10 interactive rounds of questions, which included pictures and sound clips.

Care for Veterans residents and their families also joined in the fun and lively quiz.

The winning team was the ‘Ever Hopefuls’, who took home a trophy and their prize – a VIP night out at Gala Bingo, Worthing.

Event organiser, Samantha Stokes, said, “From everyone here at Care for Veterans, I’d like to thank Chris for being such a brilliant quizmaster. And thank you to everyone who came and took part and helped us to raise this fantastic amount of money for our residents’ care and rehabilitation.
