Veterans are embracing the festive spirit at Care for Veterans Worthing, as the Home fills with Christmas cheer.
Celebrations began with the much-loved annual Christmas Fayre, followed by a packed programme of seasonal activities designed to bring joy and togetherness throughout December. Residents have been enjoying festive baking sessions, Christmas Jumper Day, seasonal crafts, festive films and plenty of opportunities to socialise with friends and family.
Music has played a key role in the celebrations, with uplifting carol services performed by the Worthing U3A Choir, helping to create a warm and traditional Christmas atmosphere. The festivities will culminate in a residents’ Christmas party, bringing everyone together to round off the season in style.
Royal Star & Garter is a charity which provides loving, compassionate care and support for veterans and their families living with disability or dementia. Alongside residential care, the Worthing Home also offers services that reach into the community, supporting veterans and older people locally.
On Christmas Day, residents will receive a bespoke gift from Royal Star & Garter and enjoy a delicious Christmas dinner, shared with visiting loved ones and members of the local community.
The Worthing Home continues to be a place of warmth, care and celebration during the festive season.
We are welcoming new residents. For more information on this, the new services we provide or to work for the charity, please go to our website Homepage | Care for Veterans
