Craig Bones

RAF veteran, Craig Bones,
Fife

Craig joined the RAF Regiment in March 1985 as a young 17 year old from Yorkshire wishing to see the world. And that he did, with a five year posting to Germany and then a six year posting to Scotland with the normal tours of Falkland Islands, Denmark and other detachments thrown in for good measure.

Craig served on 16 Squadron RAF Regiment, 4 Wing HQ both (1985-1990) at RAF Wildenrath in Germany and 27 Squadron RAF Regiment and Ground Defence Training at RAF Leuchars (1990-1995)  both in Scotland.

He is sports mad, representing the RAF at Senior Rugby, as well as being Captain and President of his local club in Scotland, and also plays for the Scottish Midlands Team.

Being ex-Royal Air Force Regiment has stood him in good stead for his future roles, where his positions within the sports travel and education sectors have allowed him to be part of the process for organising major events. Craig has a can do attitude, he is forward thinking with lots of enthusiasm and passion and looks forward to representing Care for Veterans in our journey to showcase our skills and attributes UK wide for future Veterans that may need our support.
