Matthew Li, Registered Manager at Care for Veterans, explains how the charity makes a real difference to physically disabled veterans: “We provide many different types of nursing care and services to meet the needs of each resident. As an independent provider, we can fill the gaps often found between healthcare and social services. We provide our residents with access to a complete range of services for people with physical disabilities and complex needs. Through this approach, we help our residents make good progress towards their goals and give them the very best quality of life in spite of their disability.”
Commemorate those who risked everything and join us in a 10k run on VE Day on Saturday 8th May 2021.
VE Day on 8th May 2021 marks 76 years since the guns fell silent at the end of the war in Europe. Years of carnage and destruction had come to an end and millions of people took to the streets and pubs to celebrate peace, mourn their loved – ones and to hope for the future, but not forgetting those still in conflict until 15th August when it was announced that Japan had surrendered unconditionally to the Allies, effectively ending World War II.
